GlobeSpot is expanding - Presenting the new London office
 

As a result of GlobeSpot’s growth, office space needed to grow accordingly. Our capable new members that joined the London GlobeSpot team, were invited to join the hunt for more office space and found their needs satisfied with a wonderful waterside office.

As of May 1st, GlobeSpot moves into their second London home, based at Buoy Wharf. Shipping containers were modernly converted into class A office space overlooking the Thames and the O2 dome. Definitely a tip for businesses of all kind looking for affordable quality office space in East London.


GlobeSpot & My Way: coming together to do things your way
 

GlobeSpot is very proud to announce its latest partnership with My Way, the most renowned sales network for second hand cars in Belgium with a sales track record that averages 12.000 vehicles per year! This makes it by far the largest sales network for second hand cars in the country.

As of April 16, all cars sold through the My Way network will be equipped with a GlobeSpot AntiTheft system. This in light of adding value for second hand car buyers who are most of the time unprotected against car theft.


GlobeSpot welcomes Ms. I. Guzda - Administration & Accounting
 

Ms. Iwona Guzda, the company’s latest recruit, was recently hired to become part of our GlobeSpot team in London. Fluent in English, as well as in German and Polish, her profile is very promising in light of the company’s international character and it’s growth perspective in the Eastern European region.

 

Besides her language skills, Ms. Guzda is also qualified for office management and accounting. Furthermore, a healthy dose of( common sense) and eagerness to learn and grow, makes her a valuable asset for GlobeSpot and we are therefore very pleased to have her on board.

After the Antwerp Classic Salon 2012, the Techno Classica in Essen, Germany quickly followed. This 24th edition of the world’s largest classic car fair proved to be more than an interesting venue for GlobeSpot. The gathering of the most classic car dealers at one venue turned out to be very promising in terms of networking.

Furthermore, the public’s interest in the GlobeSpot GPS Classic+, designed to fit the needs of classic car owners, was even greater than expected as orders pile up. Proof that GlobeSpot’s customer directed market approach is well considered and supported by dedicated professionals.

During the 35th edition of the Antwerp Classic Salon in Antwerp, GlobeSpot took its first steps into the wonderful world of the international classic car community. This venue proved to be ideal in terms of presenting our latest development to the public: The GlobeSpot GPS Classic+.

As a great deal of positive feedback came our way, it was clear to state that this was the first, but certainly not the last GlobeSpot representation in the classic car community.

This device is designed to fit trailers which aren't constantly provided with electrical current which makes it a very smart and valuable innovation, able to serve various purposes. Long battery life enables the users to secure their trailers for long periods of time, even when they're set aside without continous power supply.

Yet another GlobeSpot innovation comes in the form of the GlobeSpot Rental Tracker.

This device is set to send out data in order to frequently inform rental companies of their fleet status. They can track and trace their vehicles when required, but also fully automatically keep track of mileage and general vehicle status on a low cost basis.

Belgium’s largest automotive event is one GlobeSpot can’t miss. This year’s edition of the annual car and motorcycle salon in Brussels, drew a lot of attention for GlobeSpot. Aside from all the latest car models on display, visitors were also the first to see the new GlobeSpot emergency call centre at this event.

GlobeSpot innovates - Presenting the GlobeSpot emergency call centre
 

GlobeSpot is proud to present its new emergency call centre as an upgrade for the GPS AntiTheft and GPS Tracking systems. The upgrade is completely free of charge for current and new users. This call center will provide support for customers who suspect their vehicle is stolen.

Customers will be able to call in and report their emergency. GlobeSpot will then assist in the recovery of their vehicle by initiating a search and recovery mission with local police authorities in 37 countries.

GlobeSpot welcomes Mr. David Prims at GlobeSpot in London. Graduated top of his class after business management and marketing studies in Antwerp, Belgium, he fits the profile to help manage international operations and marketing activities for GlobeSpot.

After his internship in London, David took up the challenge and moved to London permanently to start managing operations. With this young enthusiastic marketer, GlobeSpot welcomes an all-rounder with enough ambition to help take GlobeSpot to the next level.

Mr. Sven Vanfrachem was hired in Belgium to upgrade our service level in the field. His expertise in vehicle electronics and technical skills, turned out to be the perfect match for GlobeSpot’s quest in finding a skilled engineer to help resolve all types of technical issues reported by our customers and perform diagnostics.

 

Furthermore, his skills prove to be valuable for optimizing production processes. He also fits the bill perfectly when it comes to educating GlobeSpot resellers and end users. This in terms of proper installation techniques, product features and usage.

GlobeSpot innovates - Presenting the new GlobeSpot SIM cards
 

All latest generation GlobeSpot devices are equipped with new SIM cards. These new and improved cards have a wider range then the previous model and cover 37 countries.

The philosophy behind this change is that the most popular destinations for stolen vehicles in Europe are to be covered by the device’s range. Russia, Eastern Europe in general and North-West Africa are therefore now part of the GlobeSpot track and trace zone.

D'Ieteren Service Days 2011
  GlobeSpot would like de take the opportunity to thank the organization of the D’Ieteren Service Days 2011. This contact and networking event brought together all suppliers within the D’Ieteren sales network which consists out of over 500 points of sale.
 
Reflecting the D’Ieteren brand, the event was very well organized and exemplary in it’s kind.
Belgian construction company Verhaeren recovers stolen goods
On September 27th, construction company Verhaeren was surprised to see heavy equipment missing from their construction site in Leuven. (Belgium) Fortunately for them, one of the stolen items was fitted with a GlobeSpot GPS-Tracker. The story was published in several newspapers and covered by multiple radio stations as well.
As thieves hurried to haul the stolen equipment to eastern Europe, GlobeSpot assisted Verhaeren to raise the alarm and inform the authorities to recover the vehicle. The German police services reacted appropriately as they were able to apprehend the thieves a few hundred meters before they could cross the Polish border.

From September 20 to 22, GlobeSpot was present in Antwerp, at the Transport &    Logistics trade fair 2011. The Antwerp Expo building was buzzing with businesses  exploring the latest innovations and opportunities in this field of business. 
 
Aside from networking with plenty of interested business representatives, GlobeSpot  took in a lot of information for future product developments made to measure the transport and logistics sector.

As of today GlobeSpot is the proud partner of Peugeot BeLux.

Peugeot Belgique-Luxembourg is an integrated part of PSA Peugeot-Citroën, result of the fusion between Peugeot and Citroën in 1976. PSA is today the second biggest car manufacturer of Europe. 

As result of this partnership the GlobeSpot GPS-Antitheft unit is now sold in the +250 Peugeot dealerships in Belgium and Luxembourg.

After her interpreter studies, (Dutch/French/English) she successfully started of her career with modeling agency CastingFactory for several years. In search of a new professional challenge, she now put her skills to use in a new field of business: sales management.

Daphne found this challenge at GlobeSpot and proves herself worthy of it as of day 1. She forms the frontline of customer communication and always manages to leave quite the impression. GlobeSpot offers an easy solution for company cars which are also used outside working hours. A simple privacy button which is installed in the vehicle, allows users to block their track and trace system outside office hours.

This guarantees the driver’s privacy when they’re not on the job. The privacy button is an optional feature and is not included in standard product offerings.

Presenting the newest location from where the GlobeSpot serves the European market. As sales in the Benelux area increased faster than expected, a Belgium based office was the only possible answer to maintain GlobeSpot’s service level for all its customers.

This new office, located at 80 Uitbreidingstraat, 2600 Berchem, Antwerp (North, Central Belgium)is located perfectly to manage operations in the region.

GlobeSpot has signed a distributor agreement with TachoEasy Portugal.

As high end tracking supplier TachoEasy was looking for an easy and affordable product to enhance their product line.
